The name Mariposa (the word for “butterfly” in Spanish) is inspired by my aunt from Colombia. She first introduced me to Swarovski crystals 15 years ago, when she made me a beautiful blue-and-white striped bracelet to wear as her flower girl at her wedding. Ever since then, I have been drawn to the sentiments of jewelry — how it cherishes people in our lives and how it flows with us through life’s moments, much like a butterfly in motion.
